Nominations Open For Apprenticeship Training Awards

McGuinty Government Acknowledges Dedicated Employers

January 30, 2012

NEWS

The search is underway for exceptional Ontario employers that are helping to build tomorrow's skilled workforce by training new apprentices.

Each year, the Minister's Awards for Apprenticeship Training celebrate employers that show leadership in training apprentices and promote careers in the skilled trades. Successful apprenticeship training is a result of high-quality, on-the-job instruction and helps create skilled workers for tomorrow's jobs.

Nominations are being accepted until February 29, 2012.

A strong apprenticeship system is part of the McGuinty government's plan to strengthen the economy and create jobs for families.
